JB Institute of Technology (JBIT) is a private technical institute established in 2009 at Uttarakhand, Dehradun. It is affiliated to the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee & Uttarakhand Technical University. The institute has been approved by the Ministry of HRD, New Delhi, and AICTE. It offers courses under the UG, PG domain as well as Diploma courses in the field of engineering, applied sciences, and management. The institute has also maintained a great placement record over the years.

Scholarship

The Uttaranchal University encourages scholarly aptitude in students. In order to recognize their academic excellence following scholarships are awarded to students who perform extremely well in their qualifying examinations.

Award of Merit

Scholarship on Tuition Fee (30%)

> 90.01% in Qualifying Examination

PG >90.01% in Qualifying Examination

Award of Merit

Scholarship on Tuition Fee (20%)

>80.01% to ≤90% in Qualifying Examination

PG > 80.01% to ≤90% in Qualifying Examination

Award of Merit

Scholarship on Tuition Fee (10%)

>70.01% to ≤80% in Qualifying Examination

PG >70.01% to ≤80% in Qualifying Examination

Conditions: The merit scholarship will be awarded to students on the basis of their performance in their qualifying examinations if, following conditions are met with.

(i) All programmes/subjects of their qualifying examinations are cleared in first attempt.

(ii) This scholarship is applicable for first year only; the students cannot claim the scholarship for subsequent years.

(iii) There will be no rounding of CGPA or the marks in their qualifying, for example if a student achieves CGPA “8.99” it will be considered as 8.99 and will not be considered as 9.00 similarly, if a student achieves 89.99% it will not be considered as 90.00%

B: Uttarakhand State Domicile Scholarship

The Uttaranchal University awards 26% scholarship in Tuition Fee to Uttarakhand Domicile Students. 40% of seats for these students are reserved throughout all the programmes of the University. To claim this award of scholarship the student must carry a valid Domicile certificate (Original) of Uttarakhand State at the time of admission/counseling.

C: Sushila Devi Scholarship for Girls

The Uttaranchal University awards 10% Sushila Devi Scholarship for Girl students on net Tuition Fee applicable for complete course for UG/PG programmes subject to following conditions:

(i) The Scholarship percentage will remain same for ‘Uttarakhand’ / ’All India’ category

D: Scholarship to the Wards of Defence Personnel

The Uttaranchal University awards 5% scholarship on net Tuition Fee to the son/daughter of defence personnel (including Para Military viz ITBP, CRPF, etc.) for complete course. To claim this award of scholarship the student must carry a valid certificate (Original) of their father/mother at the time of admission/counseling. 1. In case of serving Defence Personnel (i) Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen / A certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the servicemen (ii) ID card of the servicemen (iii) ID/Aadhaar card of the student 2. In case of retired Defence Personnel (i) Discharge certificate of the servicemen (ii) ID card of the Ex-Servicemen (iii) ID/Aadhaar card of the student 3. In case of deceased Defence Personnel in combat (i) Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen / A certificate issued by the Unit Head /C.O. of the servicemen. (ii) ID/Aadhaar card of the student
